Mary-Lynn Neil was born on June 18th, 1997 in Kingston, Ontario. She currently calls Edmonton, Alberta home. Mary-Lynn has always had a love for music. At age 10, she entered a local singing contest in the Kingston area. While Mary-Lynn made it through to the contest finals she did not win. What she discovered though was a love of performing.

 

At age 11, Mary-Lynn got her first guitar and began taking lessons. As she became more comfortable with the instrument, Mary-Lynn took the next step and wrote her first song, "A Daughter's Prayer". Written for her father who was serving in Afghanistan at the time with the Canadian Armed Forces, the song attracted local and national media attention. As a result Mary-Lynn found herself doing numerous radio, print and television interviews and live performances.

 

Mary-Lynn continued to explore songwriting and recorded several more originals in Nashville. Her second single release to Canadian radio was a co-write called "I Want A Boy For Christmas". The song became a radio favorite in and was the #8 DMDS most downloaded at Canadian radio. She has since had another top 10 DMDS song, this time as a co-writer on the song "Don't Call Me A Hero" recorded by Canadian country artist Don Murdock. Mary-Lynn also has a cameo appearance in the song and is credited as co-producer.

 

In 2007, Mary-Lynn took a turn at acting and appeared in the Canadian movie Milo. During her early teen years she also did a number of professional modeling shoots. There were many highlights in her young career including walking the red carpet at the Canadian Country Music Awards, attending multiple award shows including the CCMA Awards as well as the JUNO Awards.

 

Mary-Lynn is currently putting all of her energy into pursuing her professional modeling career. This renewed focus quickly paid dividends when she was confirmed as a model for the 2017 Bear Babes Calendar. She continues to travel and has done a number of professional shoots internationally and her reputation as a model of choice is growing.
